COVID-19: Institute to Unveil Book on Pandemic.

The National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies (NILDS), has concluded plans to unveil a book on the economic and social political impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The book titled: "Political Economy of Pandemics and its Implications on Covid-19 for Nigerians" is an over thirty chapters compendium, written by thoroughbred academics, high profile researchers and policy makers drawn from social sciences, humanities, medical sciences among others.
The Director General of (NILDS), Prof. Abubakar O. Sulaiman said upon completion, the book will serve as a strategic guide to the legislators and other policy makers and also document Nigeria’s response to the outbreak and how to better manage future emergencies.
"Going forward, this book aims to bring to light the wider ramifications of the pandemic as it affects the economy and governance as well as how the legislators can strengthen health and economic legal framework to mitigate the impact of the pandemics emergencies in Nigeria" Prof. Sulaiman stated.
It will be recalled that Prof Sulaiman had ordered disinfection of the Institute office buildings located at Maitama district, Abuja and urged that all the COVID 19 safety procedures in the Institute be strictly adhered to in order to ensure the safety of all of staff and that of visitors to the facility.
Meanwhile, the DG, Directors and staff had undergone the COVID 19 test and the results were released during the weekend.
