NILDS DG, Prof. Sulaiman Seeks Improved Synergy Among NASS Agencies.
The Director General of the National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies (NILDS), Professor Abubakar O. Sulaiman has advocated for improved synergy among the National Assembly Management, National Assembly Service Commission (NASC) and NILDS.
The DG disclosed this during the ongoing retreat for top management staff of National Assembly and National Assembly Service Commission in Abuja on Friday, 20th November, 2020.
The retreat was declared open by the President of the Senate, Senator Ahmad Lawan. Also in attendance were, Clerk to the National Assembly, Arch. Ojo Amos, Chairman, NASC, Engr Ahmed Amshi and top management staff of the National Assembly bureaucracy.
"It is critical that we build a robust synergy and leverage on the capacities and expertise in our respective agencies.
"Also, there is a lot to be gained by consolidating our efforts especially in capacity development and the streamlining of our processes and systems". Prof. Sulaiman said.
The DG also disclosed that the Institute has reached advanced stage with NASC for the Premier Institute to organise promotional examination for staff of the National Assembly.
“Discussions have already reached advanced stage with the commission for the Institute to organise promotional examination for staff of the National Assembly. We look to this and other opportunities for creative engagement".
