NILDS and Kwara State University Begin Talks on Collaboration on Capacity Development
The National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies, NILDS and Kwara State University have opened talks on the feasibility of innovative and positive solutions to rapidly changing developmental needs of the nation, particularly, towards advancing the education sector in times of covid-19 crisis.
Part of what came to the fore at a courtesy visit to the Director General of NILDS in Abuja, led by the Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Mustapha Mohammed Akanbi, SAN was the need for continued professional development for the academia in Nigeria through standard professional programmes, which will provide advancement for not just the lecturers but also students who draw from the knowledge and technical know-how.
In his remarks, the Director General, Prof. Abubakar O. Sulaiman urged the Vice Chancellor and his team to identify possible areas of collaboration so as to initiate the process in no distant time.
The Vice Chancellor applauded the DG for his giant strides in the Institute so far and hopes the synergy between the two organisations will benefit the country’s education sector immensely.
