NILDS-UNIBEN PG Programs Graduates 65 Students in its Third Convocation Ceremony
The Director General of NILDS, Prof. Abubakar Sulaiman has said 65 graduating students of the NILDS-UNIBEN Post graduate programmes have been conferred with various Masters Degrees, comprising 28 graduates in Legislative Studies; 15 in Legislative Drafting and 22 in Parliamentary Administration. He made this known in Abuja during the 3rd convocation ceremony of the programmes.
While giving the keynote address at the ceremony, the President of the Senate and Chairman, Governing Council of NILDS, Sen. Ahmad Lawan said “Today Nigeria is faced with the problem of availability of revenue. The time has come for National Assembly to continuously engage with revenue-generating agencies. We have to take the bull by the horn and look for our revenue wherever they are.”
In his lecture, former President of the Senate, Ken Nnamani charged the graduating students to demonstrate qualities that will negate the thought that the country is plagued with “human disaster”.
The National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies commenced its postgraduate programmes in affiliation with the University of Benin in 2013/2014 academic session.
