Finance and Administration

The Finance and Administration Department is a support Department in the Institute. It is engaged mainly in daily, weekly and monthly routine activities for staff wellbeing, enhancement and achievement of the Institute’s goals. It also occasionally drafts policy papers at the instance of Management.

The Department is headed by a Director and has two Divisions headed by Deputy Directors and have other sub-units.:

  • Finance & Accounts
  • Administration & Human Resources.

Administration & Human Resources Division

The Administration Division, which is an arm of Finance and Administration Department, is made up of three (3) units, namely:

  • Administration;
  • Human Resources; and
  • Assets & Maintenance.

Finance & Accounts Division

As a subdivision under Finance and Administration department, Finance and Accounts is saddled with the responsibility of receipt, custody, disbursement and accounting of all monies received and expended by the institute. It provides financial advice to the Director General, Management and other staff.

Other financial services rendered include handling and management of financial aspects of all NILDS’ Collaborations with International Development Partners The Division consists of the following units:

  • Budget & Cash Office
  • Final Accounts
  • Store & Inventory Control
