The National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies, recently played host to a representative of the Harvard Kennedy School of Government, Py Killen in Abuja.

The visit was spurred by the need to know more about the Institute, priority policy areas and its organizational training needs.
In addition, it served as an opportunity to plan for future collaboration while exploring ways that the Harvard Kennedy School could render services to NILDS and Nigerian Legislators.

The Director General of the Institute, Prof. Ladi Hamalai who received the visitor alongside the management staff informed that the goal is to transform the Instiute's permanent site which sits on 8.12 Hectares of land into a knowledge hub for human resources management, professional learning, providing facilities for corporate training and learning institutions to operate.
"NILDS works with diverse stakeholders towards achieving its mission of strengthening the capacity of legislatures and other democratic institutions in Nigeria and beyond", she said.
