With an estimated 37 million MSMEs in Nigeria, contributing almost half of Nigeria’s GDP, experts and policy actors are agreed that, development of the Micro Small and Medium Enterprises is the much needed catalyst to jump-start economic development.
It is against this background that the National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies, NILDS Public Lecture Series is engaging stakeholders at the National Assembly tomorrow, to examine the role of this critical sub-sector in relation to job creation, economic empowerment and poverty eradication.

The objective of the lecture is to provide a forum for stakeholders to interact and identify alternative and sustainable means of supporting MSMEs financing, growth and development in Nigeria.

The lecture will have in attendance, members of the National Assembly, International and National Finance institutions, Donor partners, Entrepreneurs, Academia, CSOs and the general public.

The NILDS Public Lecture Series, has remained a platform instituted by the National institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies, over the years for articulation of ideas; to harness and provide informed knowledge that have helped to guide and indeed, enriched legislation.
