The African Capacity Building Foundation ACBF is visiting Abuja on a supervision mission to the National Institute for legislative studies NILS, National Assembly, and other partner institutions, 2018.

The team is expected to hold meetings with Officials of the Ministry of Finance, NILS, and the West African Institute for Financial and Economic Management, WAIFEM from Monday 5th to Saturday 10th February 2018.

The ACBF comprise the following:

1. Dr. Couffi Noumon, Special Advisor, Office of the Executive Secretary;
2. Antwi Dickson, Senior Programme Officer, West Africa;
3. Edem Messa- Gavo, M&E Expert;
4. Tendayi Makuyana, Senior Disbursement Officer.

The meetings with WAIFEM and NILS are expected to take place at NILS’ premises and would follow the proposed schedule detailed below.
• Wednesday 7th February 2018–
o Morning Session: Meeting with NILS and WAIFEM
o Afternoon Session : Meeting with WAIFEM
• Thursday 8th February 2018 Meeting with Both NILS & WAIFEM
• Friday and Saturday (9th & 10th February - Meeting with NILS

The objectives of the meeting include:
• To review the budget and implementation of activities ACBF Grants for NILS Capacity Building Project NILS-CAP Phase II and WAIFEM with particular reference to the alignment of project activities to the Results Management Frameworks (RMF) for both projects.

It may be recalled that in July 2017, the ACBF signed 2 Grant agreements with NILS and WAIFEM to implement capacity building projects aimed at improving financial governance in Africa and in West Africa in Particular.
