A 3-Day Procurement and Assessment Training for NILS and WAIFEM ended in Abuja with an adoption of the framework for procurement process. The meeting approved the guidelines for implementation of the NILS-Cap 2, recently approved grant from the African Capacity Building Foundation, ACBF.

The session provided a veritable opportunity for the procurement officers from NILS, WAIFEM and ACBF representatives to streamline strategies for the NILS-Cap 2 project which started implementation of its programmes, following the signing of the grant by the Chairman, Governing Council of NILS and Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki in July, 2017. The ACBF team, which was led by Antwi Dickson, Senior Program Officer, WCA/Operations, emphasized the ACBF’s goal of building strong institutions and aligning individual procurement plans to the global corporate plans of ACBF.

The Director General NILS, Prof. Ladi Hamalai, MFR, in a brief remark at the closing ceremonies described the event as a milestone in the history of the partnership between NILS and the ACBF.

While appreciating the Governing Council of NILS for their steadfast commitment and support, assured of NILS continued adherence to global best practices which has been the hallmark of NILS in all its operations, she said.
